The company will be shipping PDF2Office Professional v5.0 for the Macintosh platform in January 2010. PDF2Office Professional v5.0 is a major upgrade to PDF2Office Professional v4.0; the de-facto PDF-to-Office formats conversion tool for the Mac.
A major new feature and component of PDF2Office Professional v5.0 is the ability to directly convert a PDF to Excel type; replicating every page in a PDF file to an equivalent worksheet in the resulting workbook. Additionally, PDF2Office Professional v5.0 has been designed to operate seamlessly on Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
PDF2Office Professional converts PDF documents to the Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, RTF and other formats recreating the intended construction and layout of the document - forming paragraphs; applying styles; regrouping independent graphic elements; extracting images; creating tables; and processing headers/footers, endnotes/footnotes and columns/sections, all automatically - without any manual intervention
PDF2Office enables you to recover the data stored in PDF documents - making them available for use by anyone. Since PDF2Office is a standalone product, it is not necessary to acquire and install additional PDF editing software and tools resulting in huge cost savings in both time and expense.

PDF2Office Professional v5.0 has been designed to operate seamlessly under Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
- Convert PDF documents to Excel format
A new Convert to Spreadsheet conversion kind has been added; this allows converting PDF files directly to native Excel 97/98-2003/2004 and 2007/2008 formats.
- Convert PDF to Native Office 2007/2008 types
PDF2Office Professional v5.0 has been enhanced to convert PDF files directly to the native Office 2007/2008 formats.
- Spreadsheet formatting options
New Spreadsheet formatting options have been introduced allowing one to refine the cell formatting and worksheet/workbook composition.
